Hi ismailzkhan,

First of all welcome to Chandoo's website Excel forums. Thank you for your joining us and glad to have you here.

As a starting point I'd recommend you to read the three first green sticky topics at this forums main page. There you'll find general guidelines about how this site and community operates (introducing yourself, posting files, netiquette rules, and so on).

Among them you're prompted to perform searches within this site before posting, because maybe your question had been answered yet.

Feel free to play with different keywords so as to be led thru a wide variety of articles and posts, and if you don't find anything that solves your problem or guides you towards a solution, you'll always be welcome back here. Tell us what you've done, consider uploading a sample file as recommended, and somebody surely will read your post and help you.

Regarding uploading file, please see the below link:

Now regarding your question, I would request you to please upload your workbook with sample data and tell us more about what exactly you are trying to achieve.

Hello Khan,

I am not sure what you mean by "lecture plan". Is that a schedule based on durations for each class / session, or something else?

Could you provide a sample of what a plan would look like? It would be even better if you can provide sample input data (using a few courses and days), and the desired output plan.

Cheers,

Sajan.

Hi Sajan,

Pls check this link for my excel file. 1 sheet contains time table and consolidated time table for whole semester.

My problem is I have to insert Lecture plan (2 sheet) 1 topic in 1 class in consolidated time table, 2 topic in 2 class in consolidated time table, so on.

U can mail me @ mail2ismailkhan@gmail.com

Khan

Hi Khan ,

Please note that the link you have posted is not useful , since no permission has been given to download the file.

Either you will have to give everyone access to download the file , and then post the access link in this same topic , or you will have to wait till someone emails you personally for access to the file.

Narayan

Hi Khan ,

I have downloaded your file ; what exactly do you want done ?

There are two tabs : Lecture plan MMFT , II TT.

On the second tab , II TT , there are already formulae to populate the academic year from 12/26/2012 till 4/27/2013 with the time table you have specified in $B$9:$J$14.

What is to be done with the topics listed in the first tab , Lecture plan MMFT ?

Narayan

Hi Narayan,

I need this topics listed in the first tab , Lecture plan MMFT to be inserted in sheet II TT, i.e. 'Lecture plan MMFT'!B2 be placed in 'II TT'!D19 and 'Lecture plan MMFT'!B3 be placed in 'II TT'!E21.. Means each MMFT lecture should replace with topics of Lecture plan MMFT.

regards,

Khan

Hi Narayan,

U tried hard but my motto doesn't completed. u can see that text of 'II TT Revised'!G20 is euual to 'II TT Revised'!E24.

Hi Narayan,

Big thanks for this logic. Can I make lecture plans of all subjects in one sheet?? See below link.

Hi Khan ,

Check out your file here :

Please note that the number of periods allotted to FM-II is more than the number of topics allocated to this subject in the Lecture plan Consolidated tab.

Hi Narayan,
