Hi:)
Can someone please show me how to copy a pivot table and paste it as values yet retaining the original formatting iin Excel 2010?

Thanks

Thanks but i wasnt looking for cloning a pivot table but copying a pivot table as values (without data source) yet retaining the pivot format and be able to send it to recipients.

Hi:

Do a normal copy paste of the pivot and turn off the link to the data source of a pivot by going into pivot table options.

Thanks

Thanks, but it wont let me do that since its connected to an external data source. Any other way to do this?

Hi:

I have pivot tables with connections from external databases and I am able to turn off my source data link using pivot table options here is the screen shot of where you can un-check to turn the source data link off.

Thanks

That is not an option for me, besides its not even selected. Is there some other setting to do this? Thanks for your response

Hi:

The same link I have given provides to a link to a VBA solution. I guess you can make use of that.

Thanks

Hi:

You can copy and paste the table as picture if the purpose is just to view the data and not to manipulate.

Thanks

Thanks for your response. One of my friends showed me how to do this. Just copy and paste just the body of the pivot excluding the filter and it will work . I was trying to copy the entire spread sheet including filters that's why it was copying over as a pivot table linked to the data source.
