Need help using Solver.

Nebu, I'm a 58 year old student( tomorrow 59) trying to learn some new tricks using excel. I need to make myself more marketable in workplace. Very grateful for you help. I was able to do the following problem to no help all. My game plan is to become very good with excel so the I can separate myself from the masses and specialize in something very unique !!! Any advice is always Welcome !!!!
 
Happy Birthday, Well I am much younger to you, the only advise I can give you is to practice , you cannot essentially learn excel unless you are not applying it real time on your job or assignments. I am a self learner I have not undergone any formal training in excel.

Hi:

I do not have any website in mind which I can give you. But, I am sure there are oodles of resources available on the web. My approach is to search for specific excel problems that I come across in my work life or helping people here and work on it. If you do it for a long time you will automatically learn a thing or two. Having said that it in my profession its the business knowledge that counts more not the technical knowledge alone.

Yes Nebu, I agree. In class, some things are a lot easier than others. That's because I work on some of these issues in real life before and I have business knowledge. I am searching for these kind of problems or exercises that I can practice on !!! I want to become a lot faster in setting up and analyzing Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement. I'm great in Sales and I have to become very good in Analyzing Financial Statement !!!! I'm looking in the internet for good information !!!!
 
I'm am right there with you Nebu. I am 53 year old going on 21 student trying to learn excel and access. Good luck to you.
 
Hey Nubu, Can you please take look that this file. I learning how to use PowerPivot. I was able to get my Donors Report done right but I had problem linking the Donors Sheet and Contribution sheet. I ended up using the Diagram button on the far right of Ribbon. I am little confused by the domain name of the tables that where linked. I hope you're doing well my friend !!!!

I do not work much on power-pivot. I do not have power-pivot installed at my work place. I am afraid I will not be able to help you out here.

Nebu, I hope you're doing well, I wanted to ask you if you know a way to connect 3 charts to to a slicer without doing a pivot table? I working on a dashboard project for my final in a Advance excel class !!!!!. I was home for 6 3 month because my mother was very ill. Talk to you soon !!!
