Monthly Bar Charts with a dynamic highlighter

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to create a Monthly Bar Chart to show sales for different regions. Each region has got a specific month which needs to be highlighted in the graph showing the sales trend before and after that specific month. I have used two data series to update the graph. One with regular sales and the other one with specific month sales.

Is there a better way I can show this chart? I am trying to create a highlighter ( May be a straight line for the specific month ) and just using one data series.

Please help.

Thanks,
Arun

Thanks Debraj,

Actually I have done the same thing in the screenshot which I have attached earlier. The drawback of this approach is : If we have less or no sales for that specific month, the highlighter from the helper column wont be visible compared to the scale of other bars.

Also I tried adding a separate column which highlights the maximum sales value for each region against the specific month ( Just to highlight the specific month in the graph using a different color bar graph )

Just wanted to check if there is any better way of showing this data in the graph?
