Merged Cells.. :(

I have data in merged cells .

Lets says text "A" in A1:A5 then "B" in A6:A7 then "C" in A8:A15 and so on.
I want cell content A1:A5 which is "A" to reflect in Each cell of B1:B5. and then text B in Both B6 & B7. So i can put multiple Conditional Formatting & Pivoting to it.
Can anybody help me with that please.!!!

Oh god..

for heavens sake..

I Used to do this for Filling Empy cells. Why I didnt try this... X(
