Loss of Formatting on Refreshing Pivot Table

When I refresh my pivot table, I lose some of the formatting. I've tried several fixes including "Preserve cell formatting on update". It is probably something stupid I'm missing, but I've run out of things to try.
Can someone please help with this issue. I can provide file if needed.

I lose the dark blue format as it turns to light blue. I have attached a screenshot. I can provide the file if need be.
Thanks,

Setting to Preserve Cell Formatting
  1. Right-click a cell in the pivot table, and click PivotTable Options.
  2. On the Layout & Format tab, in the Format options, remove the check mark from Autofit Column Widths On Update. ...
  3. Add a check mark to Preserve Cell Formatting on Update.
  4. Click OK.
