Loan interest calculations

Dear All

I am new to VBA and this forum.

I would like to get some helpful tips or macro ideas for automating active loan interest calculations, for the purpose of quickly verifying how much interest has been paid and comparing the same to actual amounts debited by the bank.
 
First, do you know the formulae you need for that? Happens my degree is in Accounting so I know generally what you're talking about, but I haven't had those equations in memory for some decades now. If you know how to calculate it, I can help you translate that to VBA, but you have to start there.

Second, last I looked I think Excel has some built-in worksheet functions for that sort of thing, if you can find the documentation on them.
