In pivot want data into Value Field and that too as SUM

Greetings!!
In pivot table field list on click the heading it automatically goes to Row labels field. But I want the same into Values field and that too as SUM but not as COUNT
Thanks in advance!!

You can simply DRAG the field to the section you want.
To change from COUNT to SUM, right-click on a cell in the Pivot Table field that you want to change, choose SUMMARIZE by and choose SUM.

The reason a value column will default as COUNT, rather than SUM is because there are either Text or Blank cells in that column.

FYI - Did you know that you can save and reuse your pivot tables? I'm not clear but maybe you are re-creating the pivot tables each time.

Thanks for your concern!! But my only concern is if we select any heading it automatically get under Row Labels field. If I want them to get added into Value Field list then I have to do it manually. Is there any way to get it selected directly under Value Filed List

I think that the PivotTable makes a choice based on the type of information in that column of data.

Is the "heading" you are choosing made up of only numbers/figures or is it made up of text?

Unfortunately, SUM would not be the default for data fields that contain TEXT. I do not know of any way to change that behavior, sorry!
