Hi ,

Can you explain the logic to be followed for each of IGST , CGST and SGST , in English ?

Only if we can understand the logic can we suggest the appropriate formulas.

What are the correct values which should be put in D11 , E11 and F11 ?

Narayan Sir,
Thanks for reply, plz follow below point.

1. in IGST Coloum:- suppose positive balance means total amount (opening+ITC-Liability) is appearing in D9, then it should be reflect in D11.

2. if E9 cell amount is negative then D11 amount adjust for the same because it is positive balance.

3. after adjustment between E9 and D11 if surplus amount is showing then it should be reflect in D11.

4. after adjustment between E9 and D11 if balance amount is showing negative then 0 amount is showing in D11.

5. if D9 amount is negative then surplus amount means E9 amount is adjust for D9 amount. and if D9 is adjust with E9 amount then D11 amount is zero(0).

6. and balance amount of E9 is reflect in E11.

7. similarly SGST coloum amount adjust with SGST balance then after balance taken from IGST.

if any further query please replay............

Narayan Sir,
in GST regime,

IGST balance always adjust with First, IGST balance, 2nd CGST 3rd SGST balance.

CGST balance always adjust with First CGST then IGST

SGST balance always adjust with SGST then IGST.

Hence, IGST balance adjust or utilize with all balance. but CGST & SGST amount adjust with their respective balance or IGST balance.

CGST amount can't adjust/utilize with SGST

similarly, SGST amount can't adjust/utilize with CGST.

Hi ,

Thanks for the detailed explanation ; if you can indicate what the results should be in the various cells , our understanding will be complete.

Hi ,

In all the cases , I have not found a single case with the following values :

The totals are both positive.

The totals are both non-zero.

The total in column E is less than the total in column D.

Can you consider one such case , and manually indicate what the adjustments , if any , will be ?

Narayan

Hi ,

Thanks.

Can we say that when both the totals are 0 or more (positive) , there is no adjustment ?

Adjustment comes into play only when at least one of the totals is negative.

What happens when both totals are negative e.g. the total in column D is -1000 and the total in column E is -1500 ? What happens if these values are the other way around i.e. the total in column D is -1500 and the total in column E is -1000 ?

Narayan

Hi ,

Can you upload a workbook with data where all three types are present , along with the manually entered outputs ?

Narayan

Hi ,

Can you cover the following cases :

1. IGST < 0 , CGST > 0 , SGST < 0

e.g. -1000 , +1500 , -1000

2. IGST > 0 , CGST > 0 , SGST < 0

e.g. +1000 , +2500 , -1500

e.g. +1000 , +1000 , -750
