Graph Help

I am trying to make a graph out of the data on my spreadsheet. I understand how to make a graph out of the data , but I need my graph to change as I put more information in my spreadsheet so that I do not have to make a new graph every single time I put more information in. I add to my spreadsheets every week typically. Additionally, I want these graphs to show change over time. I want them to compare the same data from last month to this month and so on and so forth in a double bar graph format. I am sending an example of what my spreadsheets usually look like. Basically, I am just making a graph to show issues that happen in each of our stores to present to our managers at the meetings, but like I said, I want them to compare last months to this months and change itself when I add more information to the spreadsheet. Sorry so long, please help! Thanks!

Thank you for your response. I want the y-axis to show the amount of each issue while the x-axis shows each issue. I want a double bar graph to show this data so it is easy to the eyes. The first bar showing the previous month and the second bar directly beside it showing the current month's data. I want this for each individual issue. Excel only allows me to use a regular bar graph which does not show change over time; it simply combines all results.

I see how that confused you, I am sorry. This spreadsheet would go on and on, so instead of seeing 1 of each issue, like you are seeing in my example, there would be multiples of all the issues listed. Does that make sense? Or would you like me to make an example for you?

Now I understand

So it is the count of records for each day of each month

Right. I do not always have more to add each day, just depends on what complaints I get. We have 6 stores and I make a separate spreadsheet for each store and when we have our monthly meetings with the managers I would like an easy way to show them either how much progress they have made or the issues they need to improve on in the past month.

Is this what your after?

I note you don't have a column for each store ?
How are they identified?

See attached, I added some more data as you can see

That is really close! Here are the changes I need though: count of orders=number of times the issue occurred and day=description of issue. Here are the different issues that would be on x-axis: positive, late delivery, attitude, tracker, burnt food, missing item, messy, cold, too much, and not enough. I make separate spreadsheets and graphs for each individual store because I do not need their information combined in one. Once I know how to make 1, I can make the other ones.

What are the Description of Issues Column for the X Axis?

Adding the Comments as a selection is easy

I don't need 31 days on the x-axis. I am not comparing what happened on that exact day a month ago. I am comparing how much of each issue the store had last month to this month.
