generating report in excel as per attached format

I attach herewith the excel file contains 2 worksheets. Worksheet 1 is data of Bank Guarantees and its expiry dates. For renewal of each bank guarantee, a Board Resolution is to be passed by the company and followed by a BR/No. and it must be indexed as per worksheet No.2.

For example, If the BR No is 129, starting number will be 129/2, 129/3, 129/4, like that. There is no limit of maximum numbers. & For Each BR No, 128, 129, 130, it is segregated into separate worksheets. The Purpose of Bank Guarantee is classified into 3 categories a) Security, b) Performance c) Mobilization Advance.


Here, the question is each time the expiry date is renewed or new Bank Guarantee is entered, BR number is also to be changed and index to be updated systematically. For each party, there may be more than one Bank Guarantee depending on their purpose. Variable data is marked in Bold in worksheet 2.

Here, BR No is the Key just like Employee code / Paycode / Customer ID/, etc like that.

If it can be updated automatically with formula / macro, your help is requested.

Two aspects of what you want done are making it difficult , if not risky :

1. Misspellings - Advance is misspelled as Advane

2. Multiple Bank Guarantees with different amounts in the same entry.

I elaborate the points below

1. Advance. It is a typing mistake. error is regretted.
2. To be brief, when a project for construction work is awarded and till completion of work, different type of Guarantees (BG) are to be submitted as per data. like Mobilization advance, Performance and Security and even in different phases. There are 4 different amount columns 1) Mobilization advance, 2) Performance Security and Total. In the desired report, total is not all required. One BG will not be come for 3 cases together. For eg., BG No. 0992611BG0000110 dated 16/6/2011 towards security deposit in favour of M/s Partsvnath will come only once. in cases, where more than one BG also to be submitted to single party. Here, Date and amount of BG may same but BG No will not be same. Here, the BG No & date of issue and amount will be same. BR No and date of expiry will change after a particular period till cancellation. Once it is cancelled, deleted from list.

The main issue is to make a report in order to save the duplication of entry while clubbing these variable parameters.

I think I have not made myself clear.

As I have understood your requirement , given the report as shown in the tab Sheet 2_129 , you wish the table in the tab Sheet1 to be updated. Is this correct ?

In Sheet 1, data is entered and updated periodically. In sheet 2, the desired output is required. The name of worksheet is given as Sheet 2_129 in order to show the BR No for the time being. Also see the contents. When BR No 126 is updated, the whole data of 126/2, 126/3 will come in the respective worksheet named 126 and like that

If I have understood you , you want that the text in the range A5 through B16 on the tab Sheet 2_129 should be generated from the report on the tab Sheet1. Is this correct ?

If so , my opinion is it is impossible or extremely difficult and is going to take quite some time on the part of whoever will do it ; I doubt anyone will do it for free.

Your understanding is correct. This is the one of format of Board resolution required by our Board of Directors and sorry to make such a work. Started something and getting no result. I will try for it and if something is available defenitely let you know.
