VBA send email using CDO

Does anyone knows an alternative to send email using CDO, the reason I'm asking is that, this is block by company antivirus, and there is a certain risk using this method, so I'm wondering if there is an alternative.

Can you leverage Outlook? Like the codes in Ron's site.

If not, VBA might not be the best option for you. For automated email. I often use "Blat" on my server (such as sending export job run on database) in conjunction with scheduler.
