Hi,
I'm not sure I understood the requirement, but if you wanted a "Date Picker" to input the dates and formulas to count the matches in "master" sheet, then please refer to the attached file.
Simply select on of the highlighted cells and you will be prompted to select a date.
Let me know if I understood correctly and if it is working as intended.
