Hello

One of my friend running Bigcommerce site, he is taking lot of time to update Bigcommerce exported csv from his inventory Csv, IS there any automation can be done so that it will save time.

I am attaching sample files that is getting from Bigcommerce (Means the product listed in his website), now he has one more file that he is getting from his inventory team, so he needs to update price and some other fields based on SKU (SKU means Product Unique ID), If new SKU found in Inventory sheet, then that information has to add Bigcommerce CSV at the end of CSV.

File Name : A1 is inventory system CSV

File Name : B1 is the export from BigCommerce

Hi coolkiran,

When you are uploading files, please can you upload them directly to this forum rather than through a third party site like MediaFire. This makes it easier for people to access the files and see if they can help you.

With regard to your query, please can I clarify what you are asking:
- You want to check the Inventory CSV against the BigCommerce CSV
- If an SKU is found in the Inventory CSV that is not in the BigCommerce CSV then you want to add it's details to the bottom of the BigCommerce CSV

Is that correct?

Thanks,

Peter.

Thanks PeterB

Yes you are right, and also it has to check sku number from bigcommerce and if there is any changes with prices or description in Inventory, it needs to update from Inventory to bigcommerce.

Regarding Uploading, currently Chandoo not allowing to upload csv, throwing error message, so i used mediafire.

Hi coolkiran,

I wasn't aware of the csv upload restriction (what's going on Chandoo?) but if you change the file extension to .txt (and let people know its a csv file) then it will upload.

Which field (column) in Inventory contains the SKU that you are matching against BigCommerce?

Thanks,

Peter

In File A1 that is from inventory SKU from AB to AK

In File B1 that is from Bigcommerce SKU in E.

AB to AK means, for some products description, price all information will be same except SKU, (means one brand)

Hi, PeterB!
Neither did I with .doc* nor .rar files too, at least, for example. And what's going on it's easy: Chandoo should be on winter holidays skiing in Aspen or Gstaad. And either he has no internet or someone dared to intend charging him for the access at a rate of 10 cents per hour... and of course he refused!

Hi coolkiran,

I apologise for the delay in getting back to you.

I'm not sure that I follow your logic. I would expect the SKU to be unique for a product otherwise, when you find an entry in Inventory which is not in BigCommerce, which SKU do you use to populate column E of BigCommerce?

Thanks,

Peter
