How are the charts shown in the link below created. Can this be done in Excel. It has many interesting features


a. as you move the cursor it shown the various metrics for that point

b. we can choose the period of display 1 day, 1 month, 3 months etc

c. at the bottom there is a slider from which one can drag and change the period as well as the length of the period

d. various other parameters can be added as overlays

e. a parallel chart at the bottom showing some other metric.

I cannot say that all the features of the example chart can be reproduced using Excel , but most of them can be reproduced , if not with native Excel features , certainly using VBA and if required add-ins.


Of course , developing such a chart in Excel would require a lot of motivation , and possibly , some incentive !
