Sorting two columns using formula

Hello

I have two columns of text data that I'm trying to sort using a formula.

Column A has a list of alphanumerical strings eg "
0287f12ac4209ab1620cb18296347dbf"

Column B has a list of strings eg "North", "South", "East" that relate to Column A.

What I'm trying to achieve, is a formula to sort both columns by Column B alphabetically either forward or backward depending on which data I want to see represented first. What is the best way of doing this?

Many thanks!

Hi ,

Looking at your data , I don't have a clue as to what your requirement is ; however , I suspect that one way of doing it may be to convert your data to a table.

See your file ; sorting column B automatically sorts both columns.
