I have been using excel as a user and have developed a strategy for stock investing that works rather well using some simple formulas. Now I would like to automate many of the features (calculations, copying of data / import of data and the back testing scenarios analysis - eg what if I followed the recommendation of stock purchases in Jan 2013, how would the return on the investment have appeared and when should I have sold if during the holding period, other stocks became higher rated).
I was thinking this is a real god test of excel's Business Intelligence functionality and due to data volumes, Power Pivot might be the right choice compared to normal excel. However, I am not the expert here and need someone who is to understand the requirements and investing strategy, understand my requirements, recommend a solution and develop the solution.
Naturally, a good dashboard and beauty should be part of this. Can you guys recommend someone and let me know how to contact them? I fear looking on Odesk will give me a lot of wide ranging offers from various quality developers.
