Pivot table chart

Hi Chandoo Experts,

I am working on this dashboard and would like to put in a chart. On sheet 4, I made a pivot table resembling the total number of home runs of each player by month. I would like to put in a line chart in batting dash tab. When I choose a player, I would like the chart to just display that specific player's hr's : for example-- If I choose Alex Avila, I would like to see his total line from March to September. Not sure if I could do this or not, that is why I am writing this question to you. Thank you in advance for your help.. Joe from Michigna.

Based on your original data layout, you can't quite get the desired layout of your chart. If you data had been in this layout:
Name | Month | Value

Then you could do it, as the PivotTable would know which months were/werne't applicable per player. Now, sometimes we just have to work with what's given to us, so oh well. :) Perhaps the attached is "good enough"?

Thanks for trying Luke. It looks good, but I was hoping when you picked the player it will go to that players chart.
 
Not sure what you mean by last bit. The chart has a dropdown in it that lets you choose the player, and shows their results...what type of image were you looking for?
