Open last modified file from SharePoint location

Hello everyone,
May I please get your help? I need to copy data from a file stored in SharePoint.
I can open the last modified file in my computer and copy the data to a worksheet in my macro, but cannot figure out how to open the last modified file from a SharePoint location.
Once I open that file, how do I close that same file?

I would greatly appreciate your help!

You've got to give more detail than that.

SharePoint version. And how it's deployed... Is it local server or is it SharePoint Online?

If local server, as long as you have appropriate permission level, you can any file directly using "\\server name\folder path\file name".

Meaning, files on SharePoint can be treated like any other file.

Alternately, you can use the URL to your team site (folder) as Initial File of
FileDialog(msoFileDialogOpen).
