Not able to open the file if shared

Hi,

One of my friend is facing this issue. He has access to an excel file.
He has read and write rights for the file. However if he shares the file, he cannot open it.

The file needs to be shared, as it is used by 5-6 other guys.
But even if file is shared by any other guy, he cannot open it.

The pop-up is as below.
File path and name could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct.
If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files, make sure that the has not been renamed, moved or deleted.

Can anyone please help me in this.

Do Your friend has access to that (other) file which
'file path and name could not found'?
( Have You checked which triggers that pop-ip? )
as same as
Has Your friend same rights as those 5-6 other guys
including ALL folders & files which they should use with that file?
> It can be 'just' test that users has enough rights to needed files <

Hi @vletm , yes, he has same access as others. However will try to with network team. Thanks for the help.
