Guys,

I am trying to match two sets of data in different files. I want excel to eliminate the common names. However a twist to the tale is that i want excel to eliminate any similarly spelt names as well. E.G.

Is Set 1 has Sriram & Set 2 has Shreeram - Shreeram should be removed from set 2 basis of the name Sriram being present in Set 1
 
Hi Sriram,

I don't think Excel can match between Sriram & Shreeram.
Excel will consider both as a different strings.

May be one of our expert describe in detail.
 
I thought as much but it sounded like Chandoo read my mind. The homepage has a VBA macro that can be used for the same. Hoping to make some headway
