Hello Excel users, I have been using Microsoft Excel for quite a long time and it has a very significant role at my workplace. There hasn’t been any issues with the program for ages, however, for the past few weeks, my MS Excel continues to keep crashing without any prior warning. This is causing me some serious problems as sometimes, it crashes before I save my file. I don’t know the exact reason behind this sudden and random crashing of excel, but before the crash, it shows a message that states, “The Start screen closed unexpectedly the last two times it started. Do you want to turn it off?

If anyone knows what this message means and what is causing the issue, then please suggest some working solution to this grave issue. I have tried reinstalling Microsoft Office, but the issue keeps appearing.

When uninstalling your Office, make sure that you totally close the pc down, then restart

Do you have any add-ins installed?

Is the office version a legitimate version and suitable for the operating System your using? I wouldn't try running Office 97 under Windows 10, although it may work ?
