Hello, I have a table for game design Im making, and I need some help.
I have made an example excel sheet, the original is much more complicated and automated (complex formulas), but hopefully if someone helps me with a system I can automate it and apply the principle.
Basically I have a table for weapon costs. Each weapon has 3 ranks.
Then I have a table tracking player progress through levels, which lists the type of weapon and rank the player has. on the right of the table is Cumulative cost and mainly cost this level.
To explain, the Cost This Level (f6 column) is my issue - it should calculate, how much the player had to spend on this level to purchase the weapon and rank type.
So for example, as you can see on the example, at level 3, player had a rank1 gun, a rank 3 axe and a rank 1 sword. The cumulative cost is 185 gold. However he only purchased a rank 3 axe this level, so the cost this level should be 75 gold.
I tried to do a formula, cumulative cost from level 2 - cumulative cost level 3, but it basically gives me the price difference of the 2 levels (Axe3-Axe2=35 gold), but the player in fact payed 75 gold for Axe 3.
Hope someone can help me figure this out, so I can apply it
Cheers.
