Hello,

I am trying to create a spreadsheet to track my vehicles status, I've attached the document I've done so far.

On the data tab vehicles will be out for service & checked back in (column C & D).

What I want to happen is on the Dashboard sheet, against each vehicle to see their current status ("In Service" or "Available"). However I can't figure out a way for it to create a formula to look up the most recent date (on the data tab) and therefore the correct status.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Karl,

See this file. I had applied this logic, if any vehicle will enter service, you will put service - in date and when it leaves from service you will put out date. And if out date is blank that means the vehicle is still in service. I had also add a little CF and reduce your table length.

Just write back if I am logically wrong.

Regards,

Somendra,

You are an absolute star - I love the conditional formatting as well :)

Thank you for your help!

I have another question if you could be so kind as to help me?

When one of my vehicle's is out of service I want to show on the front dashboard how long they have been in service for - How can I do this?

Again any support would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Karl,

Can you explain in event of multiple entry of a vehicle say no. 9, do you want the last entry to get no. of day all summation of all the entries?

Regards

Hello Somendra & Blazy,

So I'n a column next to where it says if my vehicles are in service or not, when it's in service I'd just like a count of how many day's it's been in service and return blank if it's available?

Regards

Once again Somendra you are a complete and utter star!

I'll learn to write formulas like that one day....
