Hi,

I have a list of Item from column A to Column C, Column A contains the top of the tree and Column C is the bottom of the tree.

I would like to group the results in column B and C using Column A data as teh headers of my Columns.

Like...

A B C
CENTRAL C01 C01 C03C
CENTRAL C01 C01 C02A
CENTRAL C01 C01 N04J
CENTRAL C01 C01 FINM
CENTRAL C02 C02 C04E
CENTRAL C02 C02 S01E
CENTRAL C02 C02 S02B
CENTRAL C02 C02 W05M
CENTRAL C03 C03 N03K
CENTRAL C03 C03 S04F
CENTRAL C03 C03 W05M
CENTRAL C03 C03 S02B
CENTRAL C03 C03 S01J

The final result would be:

CENTRAL C01 CENTRAL C02 CENTRAL C03
C03C C04E N03K
C02A S01E S04F
N04J S02B W05M
FINM W05M S02B
S01J

Thanks for the help

just looked at your problem .... not attempting to solve it as im still learning excel ... but have noticed that you might have put SO1J in wrong colum ...
thinking your are trying to achieve a result like this ...
CENTRAL CO1 -------CENTRAL CO2 -----CENTRAL C03
CO3C ---------------CO4E ---------------NO3K
CO2A-----------------SO1E---------------SO4F
NO4J------------------SO2B--------------WO5M
FINM------------------WO5M--------------S02B
---------------------------------------------SO1J
Now i see not your mistake ... when post saved moves everything to the left so i edited my post and added lines to keep things in right colum .... might make it easier for someone else to understand ... hope you dont mind

Hi,

I might be wrong in understanding your requirement, but see the attached file. Yellow cells has formula solution.

Hi,

Great solution, thanks for the help.

Do you know of any macro procedure that could do this, as my list is to big, but in any case I can use this solution.

Thanks again,
