Hi Narayan

Thanks for the prompt action. Yes this is what I am expected I can see that few assignments only you have marked but I wanted to check if there is any other assignments having items to clear for example one assignment have twenty line and 5 lines will able to clear that item too highlighted with that excel sheet. also I need to fix template to use this future purpose.

Hello Narayan

Sorry for the confusion. You gave me one resolved file for clearing. i also want to fix this as template for my GL clearings. is this possible that we could set up a template. also i want to make sure that if the assignments have 50 lines and only 6 lines able to clear from the GL that can be also highlighted in the template, is this possible?

Thanks for your support as always.

Hi ,

The problem is that in the earlier problem , we could always look for the line containing the text "Total" and see if that line contained zero in a particular column.

If we have to look at the sum of values , and if those values are a straightforward sum of contiguous cells it may still be possible ; what if the sum of non-contiguous values equals zero ? That is practically impossible using only formulae.
