Formula query

Hi All,

I have a vlookup formula that I'm using.

I'm hoping to fine tune it so it only performs the lookup if a cell in the same row has a "Y" in it.

I've attached a sample sheet that shows the text of the formula.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Brian

Hi Brian ,

Can you clarify the following ?

1. Your formula is : VLOOKUP([@Gross]:L4354,'ebay charges'!A4:M149,13,TRUE)

What is the meaning of [@Gross]:L4354 ?

2. In which cell or cells is this formula entered ?

3. Either way , can you not use something like :

=IF(B???? = "Y" , Your Lookup Formula , "What ever else you want as the output)

where B???? is the address of the cell in column B.

I just imagine and answered your question. Kindly clarify what Mr Narayan asked. Then only you ll get final effective answer.

=IF(B1="Y",VLOOKUP([@Gross]:L4354,'ebay charges'!A4:M149,13,TRUE),"")
IF B1 IS Y.
