Formula changing inadvertently in the cells

Formulas can be changed manually or by VBA code, but not by nothing, if that's what you tried to mean.

Are you talking about the Formula itself or what the cell is displaying?


If it is the display, you may have calculation set to Manual and hence this is why you are seeing values change.


If it is the formula itself, SirJB7's comments are applicable
 
Hi, GGGGG!

Reading Hui's comment I thought if you have any formula that contains a RAND or RANDBETWEEN functions? These are functions that change their values each time you calculate sheet, or manually press F9 or CTRL-ALT-F9.

I have formulas like cell A6/A7, when I came back to the cell I saw that cell reference is changed. can this happened by itself? Or was it my error?

May be you have changed to location of reference cell.


For Exp.. If C1 = A1 + B1 , and now if you cut A1 and paste it to A5, and cut B1 and paste it to D11, the formula in C1 automatically adjust itself to C1 = A5 + D11 ,


If I am correct, then can i know, why this special Helpful feature makes you worried and in what case..
