Formating of Sparkline Markers

Tigger07

New Member
Hi - this is my first post - so firstly hello :) and apologies if I have not followed the correct procedure

My question is related to Excel 2010 Sparklines. I wish to plot data where there is a possibility of 4 values, and I would like the 4 values to be plotted as sparklines with different colours associated to each value, can be either WinLoss / Column / Line - not fussy ! The values and colours are :
value of 0 to have colour Green
value of 1 to have colour Yellow
value of 2 to have colour Amber (or Orange)
value of 3 to have colour Red

Please advise the best way to create this - as far as I can see, I am only able to format 3 colours within the Design tab of the Sparklines (Marker colours)

I have attached a sample file

Many thanks

Firstly, Welcome to the Chandoo.org Forums

I don't believe it is possible to Conditionally Format Sparklines in Excel up to 2016, yet

If your values are always Integers between 0 and 3, you can apply a Color to the Low 0 and High 3 points, but the 1 & 2 values will be colored the same

You can do it as a normal chart
You will need 5 series
one for the line and one for each colored markers
Then remove all the axis, grid lines etc
then make it small

I will make one up later

Thank you Hui

I was thinking along the same lines of using a chart - but although I have only shown a few rows of values in my sample file, the actual finished report will have over 90 rows of data !!! and so will involve having to re-create a chart for each row of data, and then to ensure they are all similar sized - is there a quick way to do this ? The column which will have the chart, is part of a very big document so I need it to be as simple as possible

Thank you Hui - you have been a great help
I dont wish to take up any more of your valuable time, as I should be able to create the charts myself.

Kindest regards
Tigger

I have setup the first and data for the next 3

You can copy/paste and then drag the ranges to adjust
