Format Data exported from XFDF file into meaningful tables

Hi All,

I am a new member at this forum. Basically I am a PDF form creator and for the first time the client has actually asked me to work upon the excel file which is exported from the data fields on the PDF form.

Now my issue is that, all the fields are in 1 row (extra big). I do not know how to get them back in the original form, as they are in the pdf form. I have attached the excel file. Was not able to attach PDF file, so I have added a screenshot.

Is there any way that can help me with this. I was trying to find answer on google which led me to this forum. Please help me. I have 5 such forms to take care of.

Also, the field names in pdf file have been named as Section no_columnname_rowno. So, for section 2.1 table's first cell name would be 2_1_Initials_1, second item in same column would be 2_1_Initials_2 ans so on. I think some kind of For loop might help. Say look up in row one, which has the fieldnames of PDF form and row 2 has the data filled in the PDF form.

Please help me.

Best Regards
Akanksha

Hi Hui & Narayan,

Thank you for welcoming.

I already have Acrobat Pro XI. The issue is not conversion. Its the format in which data is exported. It is not a simple Pdf file. Its Fillable Pdf, so when I just convert the file, the basic structure of Pdf file gets exported into excel and data filled in the fillable fields gets lost. And when I export the data, the structure of the form suffers. I have created a video, I think that will be best to show my issue at hand.

Please find the video at

Is there anyway that I can create the structure again in excel. I have something in mind, but do not know how to implement it.

Please help.

Best Regards
Akanksha
