Format Conditioning - duplicate names

Hi Everyone,

Can someone help me, I have a spreadsheet with names and dates in and I would like to be able to highlight a name if it is entered again on a different date.

A name could be put in several times on one date and not be highlighted, but if it is entered again on another date it highlights to Yellow.

I hope I have made sense.

Added a copy of your sheet in the attached file where column B has conditional formatting. Although you can delete the range W2:W11, it shows the formula used in conditional formatting.

Thanks for that but it is not quite what I am after, When I entered Bloggs in twice under my first entry of week ending 17/06/16 it highlighted them, there will always be the same name entered twice under each week ending, it is only if the same name again is entered under another week ending that I want it to be highlighted.

Also Joe Bloggs Jnr would be a completely different person to Joe Bloggs.

OK, getting there…
So you don't want Joe Bloggs 17/6/16 highlighting because they were the first entered? Are the w/ending dates always sorted earliest at the top?

Why doesn't John Smith get highlighted at the penultimate row? He has 2 w/ending with different dates (24th and 17th).

The Week endings will always be at the top as I sort the data that way.

You are right about John Smith, I input the data and didn't even notice lol, but Joe Bloggs Jnr must be treated as a different person to joe Bloggs.
