Family Tree using Excel...what is the best way?

I have to make a family tree.
Nothing Fancy.
Just a simple tree.

In Scope:
-10 generations
-Names

Out of Scope:
-Photos

What would you suggest is the best approach for this?

I think about using SmartArt.

If anyone has suggestion, could you please share...?

You will be hard pressed to get excel to do anything comparable to what free Family History software can provide you - take a look at these free family history packages - http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-genealogy-family-tree-software.htm

Yes it's possible to create relational tables in PowerPivot, but you will spend hours, if not days, working on it when that functionality is built-in to the packages noted.

Smart art is probably the easiest. Also, if you search Google, you'll find plenty of templates out there.
