On this excel sheet, I need help. I am doing a project where I need to lay out a rule set.

I was thinking that up to x amount of records, u get x percentage. After x you get y percentage.

So like if I have 57,000 records, I want the first 50,000 multiplied by 10%, then the next 7,000 records multiplied by 12%. Then added up into a single cell.
Please help. Thank you.

where are you putting those split numbers - how will you know to use 50000 if 57,000 are you basing that on a percent as well

=(50000*0.1)+(7000*0.12)
so if you had the volume in B1 and the threshold in A1
= =(A1*0.1)+((B1-A1)*0.12)
