Excel 2013 Freezing

I am using Excel 2013 and have an issue of the program keeping on freezing when working with a sheet that has more than say a thousand rows of information.

The current spreadsheet I have problems with works with 36475 rows of information across multiple columns with ‘work-order’ numbers.

There are two columns that have the work order numbers in and I am firstly highlighting the two columns and then applying the conditional formatting to highlight duplicate work orders.

Excel begins to freeze when I then a data filter to just show the duplicate work orders.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to stop this happening?

there is a problem or you can say its a bug in excel 2010 or 2013, whenever we do filtering on a data having more than 10000 rows, it gets hang or stuck.... It happns with me also when I do filter the data which has around 80000 or more than 100000 rows...

Not sure why Microsoft introduced Excel with 1,048,576 rows available to populate when only the first 10,000 can have full functionality!
