Hi,

I am trying to convert 2003 Excel file to 2007 macro enabled version but i am getting error like... "Excel found unreadable content...Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook?" If i choose YES It will open a repaired version of the file by removing the unreadable contents.If i open log file listing repairs below is the details i will get... Can any one help me to get rid of this and help in successful conversion of the file to 2007 version

<removedFeature>Removed Feature: External formula reference from /xl/workbook.xml part (Workbook)</removedFeature>

<removedFeature>Removed Feature: External formula reference from /xl/sharedStrings.xml part (Strings)</removedFeature>

</removedFeatures>

- <removedRecords summary="Following is a list of removed records:">

<removedRecord>Removed Records: Named range from /xl/workbook.xml part (Workbook)</removedRecord>

for those interested:

Turns out the 2003 file had 4 external SQL connections which were links to external web sites.

I'm not sure what Dee did to fix whether he remade the connections or just remade the queries, but in doing that it fixed his problem.

How do you determine if you have external SQL connections which were links to web sites. How do you determine if you have external links to outside sources within your applications.
