Distributing number of months between two intervals

Hi Friends,

I have a report where i have a start date and end date. I have calculated number of months between the two. But the problem now is i have to distribute these months according to the year. For Example, start date is 22-mar-2016 and end date is 10-feb-2019. So no. of months between the two is 35 months. So now i have to calculate how many months in 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019. I have uploaded the excel file. Please help.

How do you calculate the number of months between two dates ?

Suppose one date is 1-1-2016 and the other is 31-12-2016 ; what would be the number of months between these two dates ?

Suppose one date is 1-1-2016 and the other is 30-11-2016 ; what would be the number of months between these two dates ?

Suppose one date is 1-1-2016 and the other is 01-12-2016 ; what would be the number of months between these two dates ?
