Displaying Data

Hi - My name is Tyrone Matthews and i am very new to all things excel, so forgive me if my question seems dull or ill advised. I have a work book that i wish to click on a cell (This cell has a date in it already) I want excel to then go to a different page gather a list of data and display it in to another cell. So i want to click on a course date and time and i want excel to display the candidates attending said course into a different area within the workbook - I have tried using several links, vlookups etc but cant find one that will do exactly what i want.

I am a technical trainer for a company, but i am new to excel and the role.

Unfortunately i am unable to post the spreadsheet in question as it has names and data that may be commercially sensitive and subject to data protection.

I'd recommend uploading workbook with same set up. But with sensitive data replaced with dummy data.

For instance, names replaced with Candidate1~x, course as Course1~x etc.

Without knowing your data structure. It is hard for any of us to help you. If at all possible, include expected outcome layout you want (prepared manually).
