Hi,

I have a 2013 excel workbook that was working fine until today. When I went to what I call my main worksheet, all the vlookup formulas were gone. The only thing that was appearing in the formula bar was the calculation that was done prior to me saving the workbook the last time I used it(yesterday). When I click on the Show Formulas button, again, no formulas are shown on the worksheet. There were about 100 of them. However, other formulas in other worksheets of this workbook are fine. I am using windows 10. Also, the vlookup functions I was using were to look up items from a web power query. Please help and let me know if these formulas can be recovered or not because I really do not feel like typing all 100+ of them again, only to have the same thing happen again. Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi !

As formulas never disappear by themselves,
best is to use a backup of the workbook …

If no backup, then enter again formulas !

There are a few things you might try:
- first save the file as a different name - ie FILE-V2.com
- reboot your computer
- re-open the file
If these don't work to restore your formulas, close the V2 version, locate the original file in its stored location. Right click on the file and look for previous version.

Hope this helps!

Gang, a friend of a friend of a friend came over to my house and wrote a macro to eliminate the problem and get rid of all the vlookup formulas on that worksheet. Thanks for your time as I really appreciate it but the problem has been resolved.
