Creates unknown range names in a worksheet

Dear All,


I am facing this problem from last few months, not only me but my all collegues also. The problem is we are receiving some data by our clients in the form of excel. but when we wants to create a copy of the worksheets by using rightclick on the sheet tab and move copy method, a dialogue appears and shows some unknown name like ___123 name already exist and try to give a new name and it continues for a long time becoz there are so many time needs to put new name. Why this happens we can't able to resolve. Please help us to get rid of this problem and how to escape in further

This is a common problem for many of us.. for exp.. Print Area


Specially when name is referring to different sheet in same workbook..


Excel is not very good at getting rid of named ranges that are no longer required. Go to Formula > Name Manager (or press F5) you will see a list of names in your workbook - if you don't need them, highlight each in turn and click on the Delete button.


However.. many Names are sometime hidden in Name Manager..
