Copy and paste Conditional formatting question

I have filled out and coded my sheets that are 3001 rows each. I also have smaller sheets that go up to 100. I know I can copy and paste from the 300 to the 100 sheet and keep the formatting but is there a way to change the range easily without having to change each individual one from 3001 (=$R$7:$R$3001) to 100 (=$R$7:$R$100)

Hi Larry ,

It all depends on which set up you are using ; if it is the first set up , it is very easy ; instead of selecting the range R7:R3001 and transferring the formats from this range , just select the range R7:R100 and then transfer. Nothing more needs to be done.

If it is the set up which I have described in your other thread , then it is more complicated because the applied to ranges are different for each rule ; you will have to transfer 4 times , each time selecting the appropriate range.
