In the attached file I am trying to use Excel to create a music staff (treble clef).
On sheet one, you will see that the notes are labeled with letters A-G on lines or on spaces. Spaces are not problem but I can't find a way to name letters on lines. I guess I can insert a textbox and put that over the line, but that is too tedious and not only that, I couldn't apply formulas to it (or formulas would be difficult).
So I'm trying to find a way where I can use every other row as a space and every other row as a line like I have on sheet 2. The problem here is trying to get the letters (yellow) on the 5 lines (thin row with black background) to appear big enough, that they fall outside of their cells, just like how the letters in cell B16 spill over the right edge of cell B16 and into neighboring columns. If there is a way to do this, then I can reduce the row height so that the row is so thin that it resembles a line, then turn the font color from yellow to black.
