Hello all... I have another question about Pivot Tables.

Is there a way to change the default settings for new Pivot Tables? For example, everytime you create a Pivot Table it has subtotals turned on and under the Options dialog box for the PT, the option 'classic pivottable layout' under the display tab is always unchecked by default. Every time i create a PT, those are the first 2 things that i change; i check the box for Classic View and turn off all Subtotals. Now, i know i could create a macro for this, but i would rather not. I know there are some instances where you can alter/set particular default settings, but I havent been able to find a way to do this with PT's.... so, perhaps it is allowed...but I thought i would ask all my fellow Excel Experts.

Thank you for all your future repsonses!
