Can I change my formula to copy and paste my CF to other columns

I have several columns that I need to shade various combinations of letters. I'm using
=AND($B4="O",$C4="O",$D4="O",$E4="E") presently in my CF to shade all the OOOE 's that it finds in B4:E100. Is there a way to change this formula or perhaps come up with a different formula so I can copy the format and paste to other columns like G:J, M: P S:V for example .

That's the first thing I tried Hui but that did not work.

May be something like this. I have created helper columns and defined 4 rules separately, this way you can copy the format across as long as you maintain the same layout across.

This may work,how do I add the other patterns using the helper columns, for example if I wanted to add OOOO or EEEE to the same section
