Best book or audio video for Powerpivot

Hi Asheesh ,

As usual Google throws up the following results :

1. http://powerpivotfaq.com/Lists/TGPPF/DispForm.aspx?ID=158

2. http://www.powerpivotpro.com/category/powerpivot-books/

3. http://www.pivotdashboard.com/Pages/PowerPivotResources.aspx

4. http://cwebbbi.wordpress.com/2010/10/13/two-powerpivot-books/

Most of the authors are those who were a part of the team that developed Power Pivot , so you can rest assured that :

a. Their books are an authentic source of information about Power Pivot

b. They have first-hand knowledge of what they are writing about.

Thank you Jeff...If wishes were horses beggers would ride ;) ...unfortunately, I am neither in US nor in Australia...

Hi Asheesh,

I agree with Jeffreyweir.

Let me share my experience!!!!

I don't like book reading:eek: however I find Rob's book interesting;) & I read 50 pages at one go (last Sunday).

I highly recommend Rob Collie's Dax ebook.

Experts: Is Dax book enough to start with learning PowerPivot?

Regards,
AM:)

Hi Asheesh ,

DAX is just one part of PP , though it is absolutely essential ; without DAX you cannot do anything meaningful in PP , and without an advanced knowledge of DAX , you cannot leverage the full potential of PP.

However , DAX alone is not a good foundation for learning PP ; try to go into the other aspects of PP , especially the basics of databases and relationships.
