I have two spreadsheet one is (named as DOB) full of name (coloumn A) with their respective DOB (dd/mm/yyyy) in coloumn B and a B'day greetings message in coloumn Z. In another spreadsheet (named as Payslip) it is pulling data from other spreadsheets and formulating individual payslip. One of the cell in the payslip consisting payment month and another one is consisting with the name of the employee. Now I would like to greet employees on their respective B'day by matching his/her name and DOB with the DOB sheet. Suppose Mr. A 's DOB is 25.09.2014 as recorded in the DOB sheet and when the salary shall be processed for the month of September for Mr. A the B'day message in coloumn Z of DOB sheet will be picked up in his payslip only and similarly for other months for other employees as well. I don't know whether it is possible or not but look forward to something special from anybody as always. Thanking you in anticipation.

Yes Sir and the salary processing date is basically 1st date of next month.

The date in the column is in text format, is it always in this way? or will it be coming in date format? when I say date format, excel recognizes this data as date?

Based on your input we can find the solution.

And one more thing, in the available information, the search begins for given employee name. There can be more than one employee with same name. do you have input file with unique numbers like emp id, or pf num etc ? Also confirm about the date question above.
