Automatic paste as value without using macros?

Just want to post this to make sure I was right...


There is no way to have Excel formula calculating certain answer just to have the formula removed at the end, without using macros, right?

I'm afraid there isn't. When I faced cases where it was necessary to get the real formula ("=1+2" and not "3", unquoted) I couldn't find any Excel function that retrieves it. The nearest is CELL but just for other information type.

Wish you or somebody finds one, it would be great.
