I am trying to automatically fill a drop down box ( or data validation box) with choices based on data derived from a separate sheet .
In the example sheet, I have highlighted a row ( 2 ) to use as an example. I need to enter a ROUTE number in the column B. ( 19 ) I want to be able to have a DV drop down box in Column F, ( row 2 ) that when clicked, automatically gives me the choices from Sheet "RIL" , column G ( there are several associated with each route) that match my initial cell input data...19. If you go to the Sheet RIL, you'll see the matches in orange for 19. I want the data in purple, column G to be in the drop down box of Sheet "Marion".....column F. I want this to carry on down the column for each entry. I have several thousand rows on other worksheets so naming them is not an option.
So, input sheet Marion under ROUTE, click on same row under Road Sections DropDown and get all of the choices to pick from from sheet RIL.
This is possibly going to be a very difficult thing to accomplish. Any help is always greatly appreciated.
